Great Light Kit and Worth the Money

My son and I searched a variety of rock light kits to install on his 2018 Chevy Colorado (with lift kit). Looking through the reviews was helpful, as people kept mentioning the durability of lights. This kit was a little more expensive than others, but is well worth the cost. The back housing of the lights are metal and the lens cover is a high quality plastic. Each light and cable appear to be well sealed from the elements. Each light also comes with a thick rubber spacer that helps with vibration once installed. Since this kit comes with 8 lights, we chose to install one in each wheel well , one under each front door, and one under each rear door. This provides a good distribution of the light when it shines on the ground. The most time consuming part was routing the wires back to the control module pig-tails. I used all existing pathways through the frame and did not have to drill any holes to route the wires. My biggest concern was finding a pathway through the firewall. To get the power/switch wire from the cab, to the battery, I pulled the rubber plug from the hole where the hood release cable comes through the firewall and fished the wire through. The lights in the wheel wells were installed with the screws, washers, and nuts that came with the kit. I used stainless self-tapping screws to mount the lights under the doors, directly into the bottom side of the body. I mounted the control box under the truck, directly beneath the driver's seat. This allows my son to change the lights with the enclosed remote or with the bluetooth app on his phone.

Best rock lights ever purchased

Bright lights! Easy to use remote control and the lights are bright. The white light is an actual white! All of the lights are true to color. I installed them on my Polaris Xpedition to see those pesky critters at night. My wife almost got bit by a snake in the desert and these may have prevented the snake from getting close to her from the brightness of the lights. -from amazon

Looks good works great

Easy to install and use. Looks good and functions quite well. Worth the money if you need/want a better solution to the alternative of drilling &/or cutting holes all over your dash to install multuliple switches, here's the easy affordable and good looking answer. -from amazon

Rock Lights Repurposed

I mounted a set under my RV. I used 6 lights out of a set of 8. This set only comes with 4 of the 10' long extension wires. I had to order 2 more, I wish you could buy different lengths.

Awesome upgrade

Put the headlights in a 2000 jeep wrangler and went from halogen to leds. They are fantastic and super bright. Has many rgb options as well.

Super bright and easy to install!!!

I just got my hands on the MICTUNNING Q1 rock lights for my rig, and I've gotta say-they've totally blown me away. I was mainly looking for something bright enough to light up the trails at night, but these went above and beyond. No dim spots, no struggling to see-just a clean, bright glow that makes me feel safer and makes the whole setup look awesome.

The fun part? The color modes. I didn't think I'd use them much, but the dream-chasing effect is now my favorite-it always gets attention at meetups. And when I just want to keep things simple, switching to a solid color is quick and easy.

The app is another win. I'm not a fan of overcomplicated tech, but this one connects to Bluetooth instantly and hasn't glitched once. I love how smooth it is when switching colors, and the DIY tool makes it super fun to play around with different combos.

Durability-wise, these feel tough. The housing is solid (not that cheap plastic feel), and I put them through a real test driving in heavy rain and puddles-zero issues, no flicker, no failures.

Installation took me a bit of time, but honestly, that's pretty standard with rock lights. The cords were plenty long, so no hassle there.

Small panel. Nice button feel.

This 8 gang switch is a small size with big silicone buttons which have a nice feel to them and give just enough feedback to let you know you've triggered them. I like how the colors indicate the switch type - flash, toggle, etc. It's also nice that the lights can be turned off as they can be a little distracting at times.
