Great lights super bright and worth every penny
I really like the design of this wireless control panel; it offers greater flexibility in terms of installation placement. The fact that it requires no drilling is a major plus for me-I certainly didn't want to riddle my car's interior with holes just to install a switch, so having such a hassle-free alternative is truly convenient. The 8-channel control capacity is more than sufficient for most users, allowing for the separate management of various devices; the interface is intuitive and easy to read, making for a smoother user experience during daily use. The 208-foot operating range is also quite impressive-more than adequate for everyday needs-and the response time is solid, ensuring you never experience that frustrating lag where you press a button only to wait ages for a reaction. Once installed on the vehicle, the lights make a strong visual statement even during the day; at night, when illuminated, their presence becomes even more pronounced, giving the entire front end of the vehicle a sharper, more spirited look-one that truly embodies a rugged, off-road aesthetic. In terms of actual lighting performance, I find them quite impressive. Their primary focus is on delivering a longer beam distance and a wider coverage area-a feature that genuinely enhances one's sense of security when driving at night on dimly lit stretches, off-road trails, or whenever supplementary lighting is required. Unlike some lights that merely brighten the immediate foreground while leaving the distance obscured, these provide effective visibility both near and far. The design of these off-road side-shooter lights is also highly practical; rather than simply projecting a narrow beam straight ahead, they provide helpful supplementary lighting for the peripheral areas. This proves particularly beneficial when navigating turns, scanning the roadside environment, or traversing unfamiliar routes, resulting in a noticeably more complete and comprehensive field of view. Holds up really well in the mud! Casing of the lights are metal with plastic windows. Very high quality. Bluetooth connectivity is super easy. Looks really good on my quad! Definitely price but, worth it! -from amazon
There's a lot to like here, and a few minor feedbacks. First of all, the overall build quality is solid. I replaced an Auxbeam AS-R60 that I had installed for about a year with this Mictuning 8 gang version. Note that I've also previously had a P4-Mictuning NEON 4 Gang Switch and a MICTUNING P1C RGB 8 Gang Switch. The main difference with this model is that the switch is wireless. Meaning you don't have to run anything through the dash, and you can take the switch with you- around camp, into your tent, etc.
Because I was removing a system and replacing it with this Mictuning one, it was pretty straightforward and quick. I took out the old Auxbeam and put in the new Mictuning one in about an hour start to finish.
I went a step beyond for the switch panel itself. I designed and 3d printed a mounting solution that works with Ram Ball mounts. I'm currently running 6 items (lights, horn, chase, etc) and have room for 2 more items to control. The remote works well, no issues with connection for over 75 ft. I mounted the antenna inside the engine bay, laying horizontal. Thankfully it has a magnet (as well as 3M adhesive option). Because this has 8 items to control, the terminals are split 4 and 4 on each side of the control box. This means your wiring won't look as clean as the 6 or 4 gang options, but I can't fault it that much. I will say that I was missing a rubber grommet that goes on the fuse box lid to route the wires through for a clean, tight seal - couldn't find it anywhere, not sure what happened.
They should make a small improvement to include steel backing plate or another bracket option that is more modern thatn double stick tape/velcro or the big clunky bracket.
